Beautiful gem of a town!

Bruges had been on my bucket list for a while (since I saw the movie "In Bruges") and I’m so glad we went on this tour! Literally everything we saw was beautiful: the canals, the medieval architecture, the churches and cathedrals especially…The Belfort was just insane! I also have to compliment our guide Ian. Very knowledgeable and very polite!

Tour that is worth every cent!

The tour was very well organized. I felt like we saw all of Bruges on the driving tour (it’s 3 hours long), but it passed by so quickly! Probably because everything is so beautiful. Everything was on time, and I enjoyed having free time in Bruges to explore on my own, too! Highly recommend booking!

DESCRIPTION

Amsterdam to Bruges Day Trip

SEE ST. SALVATOR’S CATHEDRAL, CHURCH OF OUR LADY & BURG SQUARE

Once you arrive in Bruges, we’ll take you on a driving tour so you can view the city’s iconic landmarks. For example, St. Salvator’s Cathedral is a stunning 13th-century Gothic cathedral. You’ll also see the Church of Our Lady, a beautiful, imposing Gothic church that’s also the tallest church tower in Bruges! Burg Square is also on the itinerary - you’ll spot Bruges’ City Hall there.

WANDER AROUND THE HISTORIC CITY CENTER

After the driving tour, you can either explore Bruges on your own or join a walking tour. During the hour-long tour, your guide will walk you through Bruges’ old city center while teaching you the city’s history. For example, Bruges is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe! In fact, the Church of Our Lady, which you'll see on the driving tour is from the 13th century.

ENJOY BRUGES' PICTURESQUE CANALS

When the walking tour ends, there will still be time to sightsee. Take the time to explore the city’s beautiful canals–a network of picturesque waterways intersecting the entire city. You can even take an optional hour-long boat ride along the canals, slowly floating down the water to see Bruges from a completely new perspective.

REST AS YOU RETURN TO AMSTERDAM

Board the bus and relax as we drive back to Amsterdam. There are toilets and air conditioning on board for your maximum comfort. Bruges is known for its Flemish painters, whose detailed style and use of light influenced artists across Europe, including Rembrandt. Back in the city, you can dive deeper into his story with the Rembrandt Experience Amsterdam package, which brings his world to life through immersive exhibits.

The most famous canal-rich city in the world is Venice, but Amsterdam and Bruges are quite similar to this Italian city. The Dutch capital has 165 canals, whereas Bruges has over 80 bridges and many canals. Bruges' canals were first built in the 12th century!
